We keep the F-16 ready to fly.
Falcon Ridge is a small business that helps take care of F-16 fighter jets. We find the parts they need, help fix them, and teach mechanics how to keep them safe.
What we do
Our business has three main jobs. Every job is about keeping pilots safe and jets working.
Find parts
A jet has thousands of parts. When one wears out, we track down the right replacement and check that it is real and safe to use.
Fix jets
Our team helps with check-ups and repairs, a lot like a car gets an oil change, only much more careful.
Teach
We train mechanics so they know how to inspect, repair, and look after the F-16 the right way.
How it works
Here is what happens when a customer needs a part.
- STEP 1
Ask
The customer tells us which part they need and when they need it.
- STEP 2
Search
We find the part and tell them the price and how long it will take.
- STEP 3
Check
When the part arrives, we inspect it to make sure it is the right one and in good shape.
- STEP 4
Ship
We pack it safely and send it, with paperwork that proves where it came from.
F-16 fun facts
Its official name is the Fighting Falcon, but pilots call it the “Viper.”
It has just one engine, which is strong enough to push the jet to about twice the speed of sound.
The pilot’s seat leans back about 30 degrees. That helps the pilot handle the strong forces during sharp turns.
It was one of the first fighter jets flown by computer. The pilot’s controls send signals through wires instead of cables, called fly-by-wire.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds fly F-16s in their air shows.
In a tight turn, a pilot can feel up to 9 times their own body weight pressing on them.
The clear bubble canopy lets the pilot see almost all the way around the jet.
Ask us a question
Real business websites have a form like this so customers can get in touch. This one is just for practice, so nothing gets sent anywhere.
